What Does This Ethics Training Course Cover?

Business Ethics from CityLearning covers how to behave ethically and properly handle conflicts of interest. This corporate ethics training course explains what business ethics are and why they are important for your business. It informs your staff of their obligations under your company’s code of conduct or ethics policy. This eLearning course explains the ethical obligations on your company under the relevant local legislation; for example, the Irish course discusses the Fitness & Probity Regime and the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Act 2022. The third module is dedicated to teaching your staff how to identify and report conflicts of interest and contains examples of such.

Business Ethics ends in a 12-question course test. Learners must answer at least 10/12 questions correctly to pass the course. Their score will be automatically saved in CityLearning’s Learning Management System (LMS) CityREPORTs, so that compliance with ethics training requirements can easily be proven.

Course Features

Rigorous Testing: Spot questions are used throughout the course to increase user engagement; they either probe to expand on a learner’s existing knowledge of the subject matter or reinforce key learning points. Questions in the course test are randomised from a choice of three so that learners may retake without getting the same questions.

Case Study

An existing CityLearning customer, a long-standing stockbroking and wealth management firm, reached out in 2019 looking for an online ethics training solution. The firm wanted to replace in-house, stand-up ethics training for 350 staff with a CPD-accredited eLearning course by the end of the year. CityLearning’s off-the-shelf ethics course was customised to include content specific to the firm. Work on the project began in mid-October and Business Ethics was released to staff in early December, carrying one hour of CPD.
