Conduct Risk Training

Conduct Risk Training

Conduct Risk

Conduct Risk, the risk of acting in a way that could harm customers or financial markets, is one of the top trends in financial services regulation today. The Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) has made protecting consumers one of their primary objectives for the coming years. They expect the companies they supervise to help them meet this objective by delivering good customer outcomes. The CBI strongly believes that a change in culture is needed throughout the financial services industry. They consider embedding conduct risk throughout every business a crucial step toward realising this change, and view employee training as a key part of this process.

That’s where CityLearning can help! We’ve been training staff in the UK on conduct risk for more than 10 years and have recently developed Conduct Risk Ireland in direct response to the establishment of the Individual Accountability Framework (IAF). This *NEW* eLearning course will teach your staff what conduct risk is and why it’s so important. It explains what requirements the IAF is introducing and how to comply with them. Conduct Risk Ireland breaks down for your staff what delivering good outcomes looks like in their roles.

If you are looking to train staff in the UK, we also offer Conduct Risk UK.

Conduct Risk Courses in the UK and Ireland

CityLearning has been providing conduct risk training to the UK since the days when “conduct risk” was called “treating customers fairly,” more than ten years ago. Just as the CBI looked to the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s conduct risk framework and Senior Managers and Certification Regime as a model for the IAF and its Senior Executive Accountability Regime, CityLearning has developed Conduct Risk Ireland based on our well-established Conduct Risk UK eLearning course. Both courses explain what conduct risk is and how it’s managed. Conduct Risk Ireland gives an overview of the four main components of the IAF:

  • Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR)
  • Standards of Conduct
  • Enhancements to the Fitness and Probity Regime
  • Extension of the CBI’s Powers

Why Choose CityLearning for Conduct Risk Training?

We first developed a course on conduct risk, then called Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), more than 10 years ago to teach staff about the UK Financial Services Authority’s (FSA) TCF Outcomes. This course was renamed Conduct Risk in 2013 to match the change in terms that accompanied the FSA becoming the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority). This conduct risk eLearning course has been continuously improved since to adhere to the FCA’s constantly evolving conduct risk framework.
